Squash Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    8 c. squash, sliced thin
    2 c. onions, sliced thin
    2 Tsp. coarse salt
    2 c. vinegar
    2 c. sugar
    1 tsp. mustard seed
    2 tsp. celery seed
Preparation
    Place squash and onions
    in
    colander and add salt; let stand for 2 hours.
    Boil
    vinegar
    and add sugar.
    Boil for 10 minutes. Combine squash, onions, mustard seed and celery seed with
    sugar and
    vinegar
    solution and simmer for 10 minutes. Seal in sterilized jars.
