Jello Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 pkg. jello, mixed according to directions
    1 c. crushed pineapple, well drained (reserve juice)
    water
    3/4 c. sugar
    1 Tbsp. cornstarch
    2 beaten eggs
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
    1 (8 oz.) carton Cool Whip
Preparation
    When jello is partially set, add pineapple.
    Let set.
    Add enough water to pineapple juice to make 1 cup.
    Add sugar, cornstarch and eggs.
    Cook until thick and add vanilla.
    Cool. After cooled, place on top of set jello.
    Combine cream cheese and Cool Whip.
    Place on top of sauce mixture.
    Top with Cool Whip, shredded cheese and nuts.
