Asparagus Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 large cans sweet peas
    1 stalk celery
    1 medium onion, chopped
    1 clove garlic, minced
    4 stalks asparagus, chopped
    3 slices bacon, chopped
    1 medium potato or turnip, chopped
    leftover ham with bone or bone shank
    1 pt. half and half
Preparation
    Saute bacon, onion, celery and garlic in medium pot.
    Mash peas in liquid and add, along with asparagus, bacon, potato or turnip and ham.
    Add a pinch of pepper, pinch of parsley and a pinch of thyme.
    Remove from heat.
    Add half and half.
