Ingredients

2 lb. butter
2 3/4 c. sugar
2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
2 1/2 c. flour
4 tsp. vanilla
2 tsp. almond extract
Preparation

Butter a 12 x 16-inch shallow pan.
Mix together all ingredients and press into pan.
Prick dough and slightly cut into 2-inch squares.
Bake at 270\u00b0 for 45 to 50 minutes.
Cut when still hot.
