Sweet Potato Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    pastry for 9-inch pie shell
    4 medium sweet potatoes, baked
    1 c. brown sugar
    1/2 c. butter
    1 1/2 tsp. nutmeg
    1/2 tsp. cinnamon
    1/2 tsp. ginger
    1/4 tsp. salt
    3 eggs, separated
    1 c. cream
Preparation
    Scoop out warm potatoes from skin and mix with seasonings. Beat until smooth.
    Add slightly beaten egg yolks and cream to potato mixture; blend well.
    Stiffly beat egg whites and fold into the potato mixture.
    Pour into pie shell and bake in a moderate oven (350\u00b0) for about an hour until center is set.
    Makes 6 to 8 servings.
