Gingerbread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. shortening
    1/2 c. brown sugar
    1 c. molasses
    1 egg
    1/2 tsp. ginger
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
    1 tsp. soda
    1 c. boiling water
Preparation
    Dissolve
    soda\tin
    boiling water.
    Mix dry ingredients (except sugar).
    Cream shortening and sugar.
    Add molasses and egg.
    Add dry ingredients.\tPour in water and mix.\tGrease and flour an 8 x 8-inch pan.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 40 minutes.
