Cream Filled Brownies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
    1/2 c. sugar
    1 egg
    1/4 tsp. vanilla
    2 (1 oz.) sq. unsweetened chocolate
    1/2 c. butter
    1 c. sugar
    2 eggs
    3/4 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1/4 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Combine cream cheese, sugar, egg and vanilla and set aside. Melt chocolate and butter and cool. Beat sugar and eggs and add to chocolate mixture.
    Sift together flour, baking powder and salt. Add flour mixture to chocolate and mix well.
    Pour 1/2 into a greased 8-inch square pan.
    Spread cream cheese mixture on top, then spread remaining 1/2 of chocolate on top.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 45 minutes.
    Cool.
    Top with chocolate frosting, if desired.
