Meat Sauce - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. ground sirloin
    2 c. chopped onion
    4 cloves garlic, minced
    2 (28 oz.) cans whole tomatoes, chopped
    1 (6 oz.) can salt-free tomato paste
    2/3 c. dry red wine
    1 Tbsp. dried oregano
    1 Tbsp. dried basil
    1 tsp. dried thyme
    1 bay leaf
    salt and pepper to taste
    1/3 c. chopped parsley
Preparation
    Brown ground sirloin, onion and garlic in pan coated with nonstick cooking spray.
    Add remaining ingredients.
    Bring to a boil; reduce heat and simmer for 1 hour, stirring occasionally. Serve over pasta.
    Yields 8 to 10 servings.
    You can double and freeze this recipe so you will have it on hand.
