Green Bean Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 lb. fresh green beans, cooked until just tender in lightly salted, boiling water (small amount)
    1 can cream of mushroom soup
    1 can French fried onions
    1 small can water chestnuts, sliced very thin
    1 medium onion, chopped fine
    1 1/2 c. grated sharp Cheddar cheese
Preparation
    Drain beans.
    Put a third in bottom of flat casserole dish. Over beans, put a third or mushroom soup, water chestnuts, chopped onions and cheese.
    Repeat for second and third layer.
    Bake 20 minutes in moderate oven (325\u00b0).
    Remove from oven and cover with the can of French fried onions.
    Return to oven for five minutes. Serves 6.
