Strawberry Trifle - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. strawberries, sliced
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    2 (5 1/4 oz.) pkg. instant vanilla pudding mix
    1 (10 oz.) loaf frozen pound cake, thawed and thinly sliced
    2 c. frozen whipped topping, thawed
Preparation
    Set aside about 8 strawberry slices for garnish.
    Combine remaining strawberries and sugar; chill.
    Prepare pudding:
    Mix according to package directions; set aside.
    Layer 1/3 each of cake, strawberries, and pudding in a 3 quart glass bowl.
    Repeat layers twice, ending with pudding.
    Spread whipped topping over trifle and garnish with strawberries.
    Chill. Yield:
    10 to 12 servings.
