Gingerbread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. shortening
    1/2 c. sugar
    1 egg
    2 1/2 c. flour
    1 1/2 tsp. soda
    1/2 tsp. ginger
    1 c. molasses
    1 c. hot water
Preparation
    Mix sugar and shortening.
    Add egg, then dry ingredients alternately with hot water and molasses.
    Bake in greased pan in 350\u00b0 oven.
