Apple Cheese Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    7 medium apples, peeled and sliced
    1/2 c. flour
    1/2 c. sugar
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/4 c. butter
    1/2 c. plus 2 Tbsp. water
    1 tsp. lemon juice
    1 c. sharp Cheddar cheese, grated
Preparation
    Combine flour, sugar and salt.
    Mix well.
    Cut in butter with pastry cutter until mixture resembles coarse meal.
    Toss apples with water and lemon juice.
    Spoon into lightly greased 8-inch baking dish.
    Sprinkle flour mixture over apples and bake, uncovered, at 350\u00b0 for 35 minutes.
    Top with cheese and bake 5 minutes more.
    Serves 8.
