Coconut Cream Custard - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 c. milk
3 1/2 Tbsp. cornstarch
5 Tbsp. sugar
1/8 tsp. salt
2 egg yolks
1/2 c. coconut
1/2 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Mix sugar, cornstarch and salt (dry).
Add a little milk to mix.
Add beaten egg yolks.
Leave rest of milk come to a boil. Mix hot milk into cornstarch mixture by tablespoon until mixture is warm.
Stir mixture into hot milk.
Cook until thick; turn off burner.
Add coconut and vanilla.
Pour into baked crust.
Use whites of eggs for meringue and brown.
