Sausage Bean Soup - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3/4 lb. bulk Italian sausage
1/2 c. chopped onion
1 garlic clove, minced
1 (15 1/2 oz.) can butter beans, drained and rinsed
1 (15 oz.) can black beans, drained and rinsed
1 (14 1/2 oz.) can diced tomatoes (undrained)
1 (14 1/2 oz.) can beef broth
1 Tbsp. minced fresh basil or 1 tsp. dried basil
2 Tbsp. shredded Parmesan cheese
Preparation

In large saucepan, cook sausage, onion and garlic until sausage is browned. Drain. Add beans, tomatoes, broth and basil. Cover and simmer for 10 minutes. Sprinkle each serving with Parmesan cheese. Makes 4 to 6 servings.
