Snickerdoodle Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. shortening (part butter)
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    2 tsp. cream of tartar
    1/4 tsp. salt
    2 eggs
    2 3/4 c. flour
    1 tsp. soda
    cinnamon and sugar to coat
Preparation
    Cream shortening, eggs and sugar.
    Sift flour, tartar, soda and salt together and add to creamed mixture.
    Mix thoroughly and roll into balls the size of walnuts.
    Roll balls in cinnamon and sugar mixture.
    Bake at 400\u00b0 for 8 to 10 minutes.
