Pretzel Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. crushed pretzels
    1 1/4 c. sugar, divided
    1/2 c. margarine
    1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
    1 (9 oz.) carton whipped topping
    1 (16 oz.) can pineapple, drained
    2 Tbsp. cornstarch
Preparation
    First Layer:
    Combine pretzels, 1/2 cup sugar and margarine.
