Jane'S Goulash - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 to 1 1/2 lb. ground beef
    1 large onion, chopped
    1 clove garlic (optional)
    4 to 5 cheese slices or equivalent
    1 large or 2 small cans mushroom bits and pieces
    3 eggs, beaten slightly
    1 bell pepper, chopped
    2 stalks celery, chopped
    1 large or 2 small cans tomato sauce or paste
    salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
    Brown meat and drain off excess fat.
    Add onions, celery and pepper
    and
    cook
    about
    5 minutes or until browned.
    Add mushrooms,
    cheese and eggs and stir to mix well.
    Add salt and pepper to taste.
    Simmer 5 minutes.
    Add tomato sauce and small amount
    of
    water;
    cover
    and
    simmer
    on low heat for 1 hour. Serve over rice or spaghetti with garlic bread and salad.
    This has been my children's favorite meal through the years.
