Crunchy Freeze - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 gal. softened ice cream
    1 stick margarine
    2 1/2 c. Rice Krispies
    3/4 c. brown sugar
    1 can flaked coconut
    1 c. broken pecans
Preparation
    Melt margarine at 300\u00b0 in 13 x 9-inch pan for 10 minutes. Stir in brown sugar, Rice Krispies, coconut and pecans.
    Bake in oven for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
    Cool.
    Remove one-half of mixture.
    Spread evenly over bottom of pan.
    Spread one-half gallon of ice cream over mixture.
    Sprinkle the rest of mixture over ice cream.
    Freeze at least 2 hours.
    Serves 15 to 20 people.
