Smoked Sausage And Cabbage Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 medium onion, chopped
    3 cloves garlic, minced
    2 Tbsp. margarine or butter
    6 c. water
    2 medium potatos,chopped
    16 oz. fully cooked, smoked sausage, sliced
    1 (15 oz.) can red kidney beans, rinsed and drained
    1 tsp. instant beef bouillon
    2 c. chopped cabbage
    1/4 c. tomato paste
    3 Tbsp. vinegar
Preparation
    In a 4-quart Dutch oven, cook the onion and garlic in margarine or butter until tender.
    Add the water, potatoes, sausage, beans and bouillon.
    Heat to boiling.
    Reduce heat; simmer, covered for 15 minutes.
    Add the cabbage, tomato paste and vinegar.
    Simmer, covered, 10 minutes more.
    Makes 6 main-dish servings.
