Miss Veda'S Cabbage Slaw - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 large head cabbage, shredded
    1 large or 2 medium onions, chopped
    1 bell pepper, chopped (optional)
    3/4 c. sugar
    1 c. vinegar
    1 c. Wesson Oil
    1 tsp. celery seed
    1 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. prepared mustard (optional)
Preparation
    Layer cabbage, onion and bell pepper.
    Sprinkle sugar over that and let it set.
    Mix vinegar, celery seed, salt and mustard and bring to a boil.
    When it comes to a boil over (boils to the top of the boiler) then
    pour over the cabbage mixture.
    Heat oil and pour over all; mix well.
    This will keep for several days in the refrigerator.
