Oyster Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 doz. fresh oysters with plenty of juice
    2 sprigs parsley, chopped fine
    6 green onions, chopped
    1 tsp. sugar
    1 qt. rich milk
    3 Tbsp. butter
    salt and pepper to taste
    1/2 tsp. garlic powder
Preparation
    Drain oysters in a colander.
    Reserve juice.
    Refrigerate until ready to use.
    Saute green onions in butter until tender. Add oyster juice and simmer for 15 minutes.
    Add oysters and simmer until edges begin to curl.
    Add milk, but do not allow milk to boil.
    When milk is scalded, add parsley and other seasonings.
