Chili Sauce - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    12 large red tomatoes
    2 large onions
    4 green peppers
    2 Tbsp. salt
    1/2 c. sugar
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1 tsp. ground cloves
    2 1/2 c. vinegar
    3/4 tsp. Tabasco sauce (optional)
    2 hot red peppers, seeded and chopped (optional)
    4 (pint size) canning jars
Preparation
    Peel tomatoes and onions.
    Remove seeds from green peppers; chop fine.
    Stir together with salt, sugar, cinnamon, ground cloves, vinegar, Tabasco sauce and hot red peppers (optional). Cook slowly for 4 to 6 hours, or until thick, stirring occasionally.
    Pour into hot, sterilized jars and seal.
    Makes 4 pints.
