1 c. sifted powdered sugar
3 Tbsp. cream or half and half
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/4 tsp. cinnamon
1/8 tsp. salt
Preparation

generations standard pastry was made with lard. Most
cooks
had their own supply and for those who had to purchase it, the price was low.
Also lard makes a superior, flaky pastry
(I
still
use
it
sometimes).
