Chocolate Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

single crust for 9-inch pie
1 envelope unflavored gelatin
1/4 c. cold water
1/3 c. sugar
1 Tbsp. cornstarch
1/4 tsp. salt
2 c. milk
4 egg yolks, beaten
2 oz. semi-sweet melted chocolate
1 tsp. vanilla
1 Tbsp. milk
Preparation

Bake and cool pie crust.
Soften gelatin in cold water. Combine 1/3 cup sugar, cornstarch and salt in heavy saucepan. Gradually stir in milk, blending until smooth.
Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until filling comes to a boil.
Cook for 5 minutes then remove from heat.
Stir a small amount into beaten egg yolks then add to filling.
Cook for 1 minute.
Remove from heat and stir in gelatin.
Blend melted chocolate and vanilla into filling.
Fill pie shell and let cool.
Serve with whipped cream.
