Congealed Strawberry Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (6 oz.) pkg. strawberry Jell-O
    2 c. buttermilk
    1 c. chopped pecans
    1 (20 oz.) can crushed pineapple (undrained)
    1 (9 oz.) Cool Whip
Preparation
    Mix Jell-O and pineapple in large saucepan.
    Heat on stove until Jell-O dissolves (do not boil).
    Allow to cool.
    Mix in buttermilk, pecans and Cool Whip until blended.
    Pour into an 8 x 12-inch dish or clear glass bowl.
    Refrigerate.
    May use other flavors of Jell-O and/or fruit.
