Ingredients

3 c. cooked rice (brown or white)
3 c. milk
1/3 c. sugar or honey
1/4 tsp. salt (optional)
2 Tbsp. margarine
1 tsp. vanilla extract
Preparation

Combine all ingredients except vanilla in a saucepan; cook over medium heat until thickened, 25 to 30 minutes, stirring often.
Pour into serving dish.
Serve hot or cold.
Makes six 1/2-cup servings.
