7 Layer Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. uncooked regular rice
    1 (12 oz.) can whole kernel corn
    1 tsp. salt
    1/8 tsp. pepper
    1 (15 oz.) can tomato sauce
    1/2 c. water
    1/2 c. onion, finely chopped
    3/4 lb. ground chuck
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/8 tsp. pepper
    1/4 c. water
    4 strips bacon, cut in half
Preparation
    Layer ingredients in a 2-quart baking dish in this order: rice, corn and its liquid, 1 teaspoon salt, 1/8 teaspoon pepper, 1/2 can tomato sauce, 1/2 cup water, onion, ground beef, 1/2 teaspoon salt, 1/8 teaspoon pepper, remaining tomato sauce and 1/4 cup water.
    Cover meat evenly with the bacon strips.
    Cover casserole.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour.
    Uncover; continue to bake for 20 minutes, or until bacon is crisp.
    Makes 4 servings.
