Ingredients

2 c. flour
3 tsp. baking powder
2 1/2 c. white sugar
1 c. milk
4 Tbsp. melted shortening
1 c. nuts
1 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. cocoa
Preparation

Mix together the first 6 ingredients.
Put in cake pan.
Mix together the brown sugar and cocoa; sprinkle on top.
Pour 2 1/2 cups hot water over top.
As it bakes, the sauce goes to the bottom.
