Boston Baked Beans - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. dried beans
    1 1/2 qt. cold water
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1/2 lb. salt pork
    4 Tbsp. molasses
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. dry mustard
    hot water
Preparation
    Soak washed beans overnight.
    Add 1 teaspoon soda.
    Boil beans gently for 15 minutes; drain and rinse.
    Cook gently for 1/2 hour or until they begin to soften.
    Make cuts in rind of pork 1/2 inch apart.
    Place in bottom of deep baking dish.
    Add drained beans and set rest of pork in them, with only scored rind exposed.
