Saturday Night Special - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. ground beef
    1 can pork and beans (28 oz.)
    1 (15 oz.) can tomatoes
    1 tsp. salt
    1 medium onion, chopped fine
    2 to 3 strips bacon
    1/4 c. brown sugar
Preparation
    Brown meat in hot dry skillet (no fat); add beans, tomatoes and salt.
    Pour half of mixture into baking dish; cover with chopped onion.
    Add remaining meat mixture; cover with strips of bacon.
    Sprinkle top with brown sugar (optional).
    Bake 1 hour at 375\u00b0.
    Serves 6.
