Afternoon Tea Donuts - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 eggs
6 Tbsp. sugar
3/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
2 Tbsp. melted shortening
2 c. flour
6 Tbsp. milk
3 tsp. baking powder
Preparation

Beat eggs until very light.
Add sugar, salt, nutmeg, shortening and milk.
Then add flour and baking powder, which have been sifted together.
Mix well.
Drop into deep, hot fat and fry (by teaspoonfuls) until golden brown.
Roll donuts in 10x sugar after frying.
