Kolacky(Polish Cookies) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. butter
    1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
    1/4 tsp. vanilla
    2 1/4 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
    thick jam or canned jelly (apricot or prune)
    powdered sugar
Preparation
    Mix cream cheese and butter until fluffy.
    Beat in vanilla. Combine flour and salt; add to butter mixture, 1/2 cup at a time, while beating well after each addition.
    Chill dough until easy to handle.
