Curry Stew Beef - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 lb. stew beef
    1 chopped onion (medium to large)
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. margarine (butter)
    1/2 tsp. ginger
    1 1/2 tsp. curry powder
    1/2 tsp. pepper
    2 Tbsp. lemon juice
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    1 (1 lb.) can tomatoes
    1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste
    1/2 c. hot water
Preparation
    Fry onion until transparent in margarine or butter.
    Add meat and brown well.
    Add all other ingredients.
    Simmer 1 1/2 hours.
