Cream Filling - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. confectioners sugar
1 Tbsp. peel in syrup, drained
1 egg
1 Tbsp. cornstarch
1 Tbsp. mandarin juice
1 Tbsp. hot water
2 Tbsp. butter
Preparation

Beat all ingredients together over moderate to high heat until the mixture thickens and comes to a boil.
Continue beating over low heat for 2 minutes until mixture looks translucent.
This cream filling can be used as a cake frosting, dessert crepe filling or sweet spread for scones and biscuits.
