Baked Squash - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    5 or 6 squash
    1/2 stick butter or margarine
    1/2 chopped onion
    2 eggs, beaten
    1/2 c. milk
    8 or 10 saltines
    grated cheese
    1 tsp. pepper
Preparation
    Slice squash. Put squash and onion in small amount of water and boil until tender.
    Mash and add butter, pepper, eggs, milk, 4 crushed saltines and grated cheese.
    Put in casserole dish, top with crushed crackers and more grated cheese.
    Bake at 400\u00b0 for 30 minutes.
    Salt to taste.
    Serves eight.
