Chocolate Meringue Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 cup sugar
    3 tbsp. cornstarch
    1/4 tsp. salt
    2 cups milk
    2 one - ounce squares unsweetened chocolate
    3 eggs, separated (yolks need to be slightly beaten)
    2 tbsp. butter or margarine
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 9 inch baked pie shell
    1 recipe meringue
Preparation
    In saucepan, combine sugar, cornstarch, and salt; gradually add milk; add chocolate.
    Cook and stir over medium heat till mixture boils and thickens.
    Cook two minutes longer.
    Remove from heat.
