Country Cabbage Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. ground beef
    1 Tbsp. olive or vegetable oil
    1 clove garlic, pressed or minced
    1 onion
    1 small head cabbage, shredded
    2 medium carrots, diced
    2 c. beef broth
    3 c. water
    1 green pepper
    1 red pepper (optional)
    2 Tbsp. soy sauce
    2 tsp. salt and 1 tsp. pepper
    1 bay leaf
Preparation
    Brown ground beef in pan with oil.
    Add garlic and onion. Saute until meat has lost its pinkness.
    Drain off excess fat.
