No Shortening Pineapple Cake And Cream Cheese Frosting - cooking recipe

2 c. all-purpose flour
2 c. sugar
2 eggs, beaten
2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. chopped nuts (optional)
1 (20 oz.) can crushed pineapple with juice, undrained
Preparation

Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
In a large bowl, mix together flour and sugar; add the remaining ingredients and mix well.
Pour mixture into an ungreased 9 x 13-inch baking dish.
Bake for 45 to 50 minutes or until a wooden toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
Cool completely before topping.
Serve topped with fresh, canned or frozen fruit, confectioners sugar or cream cheese frosting.
