Candy Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. sifted flour
2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. shortening
1 c. sugar
1 egg
3/4 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. vanilla
100 bit marshmallows
1/2 c. chocolate bits
1/2 stick butter
1/2 c. brown sugar, packed
1/2 c. chopped nuts
Preparation

Sift together, flour, baking powder and salt.
Cream together, shortening and sugar, added gradually.
Beat in one egg, continue beating 1 minute.
Combine buttermilk and vanilla; add alternately with dry ingredients to creamed mix.
Fold in marshmallows and chocolate bits.
Spread in greased 9 x 13-inch pan.
Combine butter, brown sugar, nuts; sprinkle over batter and bake at 350\u00b0 for 40 to 45 minutes.
Serve from pan with ice cream or whipped cream.
