Ingredients

3/4 c. sugar
3 Tbsp. cornstarch
1/8 tsp. salt
2 c. milk
3 eggs, separated
2 Tbsp. butter
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1 (16 oz.) pkg. vanilla wafers
3 bananas sliced
Preparation

Beat egg yolks lightly.
Set aside.
Combine sugar, cornstarch, salt and milk in microwave safe bowl;
mix well. Microwave on Medium-High for 7 minutes or until thickened, stirring twice.
Stir a small
amount of hot mixture into beaten egg yolk; stir egg yolks into hot mixture.
Microwave on Medium-High until custard coats metal spoon, stirring once.
Beat in butter and vanilla until butter is melted.
Layer vanilla wafers, banana slices and custard alternately in bowl.
