Ingredients

1 c. butter
1 1/2 c. brown sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. sugar
1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 1/2 tsp. cream of tartar
3 c. self-rising flour
Preparation

Cream the butter and sugar until fluffy.
Add eggs, one at a time.
Beat well after each addition.
Add vanilla, then stir in dry ingredients. Drop by 1/2 teaspoon on greased baking sheet. Bake at 375\u00b0 for 12 to 15 minutes.
