Split Pea Soup With Kielbasa - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. green split peas
    2 1/2 qt. water
    1 meaty ham bone
    1 1/2 c. onion, diced
    1/2 tsp. pepper
    1/4 tsp. marjoram
    1 c. celery, diced
    1 c. carrots, diced
    1 lb. kielbasa, sliced
Preparation
    Wash peas well and add to water with the ham bone, onion and seasonings.
    Bring to a boil; cover, reduce heat and simmer 2 hours, stirring occasionally.
    Remove bone and puree the peas through a strainer or in a blender; return to pan and add remaining ingredients, reserving some of the kielbasa for garnish when ready to serve.
    Cook slowly for another hour.
    Salt to taste.
