Angel Biscuits - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    5 c. sifted self-rising flour
    1/3 c. sugar
    1 c. shortening (Crisco solid)
    2 pkg. yeast, dissolved in 1/4 c. warm water
    2 c. buttermilk
    1 tsp. baking soda
Preparation
    Combine flour, soda and sugar; cut in shortening and stir in yeast and buttermilk.
    Keep covered in refrigerator at least one hour before using.
    Roll out and cut the biscuits.
    Let rise for 2 hours.
    Dough will keep in refrigerator for 1 week.
    Bake at 400\u00b0 for 10 to 15 minutes.
