Plumlee Family Peach Conserve - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    5 c. peaches, peeled and cut up
    5 c. sugar
    1 large orange, peeled and sectioned (membrane and seeds removed)
    3 to 4 peach seeds
Preparation
    To facilitate peeling, drop the peaches in boiling water for a couple minutes, then in cold water. Combine all ingredients in a large Dutch oven or kettle. Let mixture stand for a couple hours. Boil gently until syrup is thick, about an hour. It will be thicker when it cools. Remove peach seeds. Pour into sterilized glasses and seal.
