Canned Jalapeno Peppers - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 tsp. salt (canning salt)
    1/4 tsp. alum
    jalapeno peppers to fill qt. jar
    about 3 c. 5% white vinegar
    5 cayenne peppers
Preparation
    Cut peppers in half and seed, wash and drain.
    Pack in quart jar.
    Add salt and alum.
    Heat vinegar to boiling, pour over peppers and seal with hot lid.
