Schnitzel Beans - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 slices bacon
1 lb. string beans
1 large onion, sliced
1 c. tomatoes, chopped
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1/4 c. hot water
Preparation

Dice the bacon; fry until crisp.
Slice onion; fry until soft. Cut the beans into small, 1-inch pieces; brown them slightly with the bacon and onion.
Add the tomatoes, seasonings and boiling water; cover and cook very slowly until beans are tender.
Add more water, if necessary, so there will be a little sauce to serve with the beans.
