Chili Con Carne - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 to 2 lb. ground beef
    4 c. (two 16 oz. cans) cooked tomatoes
    2 c. (one 15 oz. can) red kidney beans
    1 large onion, chopped
    1 clove garlic, minced
    1 Tbsp. chili powder
    2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. black pepper
    1 tsp. cayenne pepper (optional)
Preparation
    Cook ground
    beef
    in
    a
    large
    skillet or Dutch oven, stirring until
    crumbled
    into
    small pieces and well browned. Add onion
    and
    garlic to meat; cook about 5 minutes, stirring frequently.
    Add
    tomatoes
    to skillet and chop into bite size chunks.
    Stir
    in
    kidney beans (drain liquid from can first), chili powder, salt and pepper.
    Add cayenne pepper if you like it hot.
    Reduce heat to simmering and cook, stirring occasionally, about 30 minutes.
