Cabbage Patch Stew - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. ground beef or ground chuck
    1 large onion, chopped
    4 c. chopped cabbage
    2 c. water
    2 small cans pinto beans
    2 small cans chopped tomatoes
    2 Tbsp. chili powder
    4 Tbsp. sugar
    salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
    Brown beef and chopped onions.
    Drain and add cabbage and water.
    Cover and cook for 15 minutes slowly.
    Add pinto beans, tomatoes and remaining ingredients.
    Cook 20 minutes more.
