Stuffed Cabbage - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 generous lb. very lean ground beef (round or sirloin)
    scant 1/3 c. uncooked rice
    1 egg, beaten
    1 onion, grated
    1 carrot, grated
    1 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. garlic salt (optional)
    dash of ground black pepper
    1 clove garlic, crushed
    1/4 c. minced fresh parsley
    10 or more leaves cabbage (large green leaves best)
    1 (16 oz.) can tomato sauce
    1/4 c. lemon juice
    1/4 c. wine vinegar
    3/4 c. packed light brown sugar
    1/4 tsp. dried basil
    water
    caraway seed
Preparation
    Combine ground beef with rice, egg, onion, carrot, salt, garlic salt, pepper, garlic and parsley; set aside.
