Broccoli Cheese Soup(Much Better Than Campbell'S!) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 c. butter or margarine
    1 medium onion, chopped
    1/4 c. all-purpose flour
    3 c. chicken broth
    3 c. milk
    1 lb. Velveeta cheese, shredded
    1 (10 oz.) pkg. broccoli, cooked, then cut up
    3 pumpernickel bread slices, toasted and cut into cubes
    1/4 c. olive oil
    1/2 onion, diced
    1 can crushed tomatoes
    1/2 can water
    1/2 tsp. pepper
    dash of oregano
    parsley to taste
    1 tsp. garlic powder
    1 tsp. sugar
    1 lb. pasta (spaghetti or capellini works best)
Preparation
    Saute onion in olive oil until transparent in frying pan.
    Add can of tomatoes and then fill empty can halfway with water and add that.
    Blend together.
    Add remaining ingredients, except pasta. Stir and simmer to a slow boil for 1/2 to 3/4 hour.
    Cook pasta to taste.
